Military Jerseys Nfl - After the Navy unveils its space-themed uniform for the academy's annual rivalry football game, the United States Military Academy at West Point decided to look to its past for - inspiration.
His uniform is dedicated to the soldiers of the First Armored Division, especially those who started Operation Torch, which brought the United States into its divide during the Second World War.

"Operation Torch marked the entry of the 1st Armored Division into the cauldron of combat," the army said in a statement. "The resilience, bravery and dedication shown by the soldiers ultimately resulted in the defeat of the Axis forces in North Africa." In the harsh desert against a determined enemy, the members of the 1st Armored Division were forged into 'iron soldiers' and learned lessons that would guide them to success in subsequent operations in Italy and Western Europe."

Although named the "Old Ironsides" academy uniform, it should not be confused with the U.S.S. Constitution, the legendary frigate that had the same name.
The uniform provided by Nike is dark army green with gold insignia and dark red pants. Around the waist is a prominent "mud spatter" design, meant to indicate the dirt and grime that would hit the equipment and tanks of the 1st Armored Division as they fought the Axis forces in Europe and North Africa.
The cadet helmets have embellished details. This includes a ribbon on the obverse, combining elements of the American Defense Medal ribbon and the arrowhead on the Algerian-French Moroccan streamer symbolizing the amphibious assault of Operation Torch. Both are placed on a green background to represent the battlefields of Europe with brown stripes on the border to symbolize the sands of Africa. On the side are the unit insignia of the 1st Armed Division.
Each cadet wears his regimental number and company mascot animal insignia on the right breast. The pants have a sign for "bumper numbers" - a military vehicle identification system developed during World War II that is still used today.

The design, according to Gen. John Raymond, head of space operations, is intended to demonstrate the service's role in protecting US security interests.
"We find ourselves in a period of intense competition for space with nations that do not share our views," said Raymond in a statement.
"It's a competition where the outcome is no longer certain, and it's a competition we can't lose." Because if we lose access and the ability to act freely in space, we all lose.
